SV27 Inert, Instrument Class Solenoid Valve

Introduction:

With the SV27, Valcor Scientific introduces the first complete line of inert, solenoid operated valves designed specifically to the exacting requirements of the scientific instrument industry.

The SV27 instrument valves accept the challenges of critical flow and pressure requirements while conserving valuable power and "drawer space".

Applications cover a broad spectrum of instruments including: Clinical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Sampling and Drug Discovery.

Description:

The SV27 2-way, normally-closed solenoid operated valves offer the instrument designer the broadest range of choices in the industry.

Available as free-standing, surface mounted manifold or cartridge mounted manifold, the SV27 is available in an exhaustive list of engineering plastics, as well as a wide choice of elastomers.

The standard 2.5-watt version will handle high pressure/full vacuum applications. Where power consumption is critical and pressure/vacuum service is moderate, the 1.5-watt version is the answer.

As applications become more involved, component reliability becomes critical. Life tested to over 18 million cycles, the SV27 delivers the proven reliability that will minimize costly failures.

Applications:

Due to the wide latitude in design choices, the SV27 is well suited to a broad range of applications requiring high performance standards. The SV27 allows standardizing on one core design for an instrument while facilitating custom features when the application demands change. Standardizing on one core design reduces qualification times, as well as total fluid control costs.

The SV27 valves are available as individual components or packaged in sub-systems which are assembled, system tested and delivered complete for system integration.

SV51 Polypropylene, High Purity Solenoid Valve

Introduction:

The SV51 was specifically engineered for controlling a wide range of industrial fluids as well as for bubble-tight shutoff.

Description:

The SV51 series are direct-acting, 2-way, normally-closed diaphragm solenoid valves, utilizing Valcor's Dri-Solenoid™ design, in which a flexible diaphragm is used to isolate the valve's metallic parts from the fluid being handled.

The use of a polypropylene body, and elastomeric diaphragm provides compatibility with a wide range of fluids as well as bubble-tight shutoff. The use of a right angle body provides greater flow for a given orifice size than comparable globe ported valves.

The SV51 is available in four orifice sizes.

Applications:

Model SV51 is suitable for a broad range of light industrial applications, both new and retrofit. Typical applications employing the Model SV51 include:

bulletCell counters and protein synthesis in biotechnology.
bulletBottle filling machinery.
bulletPaper rolling, ambient air analyzers, filling machinery, aerosol equipment in industrial applications.
bulletPhoto processing and chemical blending for reprographics.

Features:

bulletInert construction for use with a wide range of fluids.
bulletCost-efficient alternative to Teflon valves.
bulletBubble-tight shutoff.
bulletHigher flow than comparable globe ported valves.
bulletMountable in any position.
bulletDirect acting design.

Specifications:

bulletSize: 3.5" (h) x 2.0" (w) x 1.5" (d)
bulletWeight: 11.4 oz. (325g)
bulletPort Connections: 1/4" FNPT
bulletWetted Materials: Polypropylene body, Neoprene, Viton or EPDM diaphragms
bulletCoil Construction: UL Class B, 18" leads
bulletPower: 10 watts (24VDC or 115V/60Hz AC)
